Youth Protection Update
The District Award of Merit is the highest honor a district can present to a special volunteer. The volunteer must be very active in the Scouting program as well as outside of scouting to be considered for this award. This year’s awards will be presented on Friday May 6, 2016 during the annual District Dinner. Attached is a form with the details concerning the award. If you know of someone who would be a great candidate for this award, please fill out the nomination form (feel free to expound on what is asked for on the form), and send it to the Awards Chairman, Jerry Bevignani by Wednesday March 23, 2016 (e-mail submissions will be accepted). Forms submitted without detailed information on the candidate will not be considered for recognition. We know there are many qualified Scouters out there that are deserving of this award. Please take the time to fill out a form and submit them. We look forward to seeing all of you at this year's District Dinner on Friday, May 6th.
The Silver Acorn Award is given by Thunderbird District and is the best way to recognize your unit’s most valuable and outstanding adult.
