Each Pack/Troop/Crew has the opportunity to award a Silver Acorn to one of their key volunteers. We will also recognize key volunteers who provide service to our entire community with the District Award of Merit and Spark Plug awards.
The Silver Acorn Award is given by Thunderbird District and is the best way to recognize your unit’s most valuable and outstanding adult.
♦ Each unit is entitled to award one (1) Silver Acorn annually. Award presentation will be made only at the Thunderbird District Adult Recognition Dinner on Friday, May 10, 2019.
♦ The award is presented at no cost to the unit, but all recipients or a representative of the unit must be present at the dinner to receive the award. All recipients and others wishing to attend must reserve and purchase dinner tickets to the recognition dinner. Reservations are not automatic with the nomination. Reservations must be made on the dinner reservation form and are subject to available space.

Please do us all a favor and get these in by the April District meeting or before so the committee has ample time to review the recommendations and that we have time ro prepare the awards. Please remember to provide as much detailed information about the individual as you can to help the committee with their decision. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions on this.
