The Order of the Arrow Fall Fellowship will be held on September 8-10, 2017. - Join us for FUN & fellowship at Camp Big Timber, 37W955 Big Timber Rd, Elgin, IL. Fall Fellowship weekend is an opportunity for both newly selected and current members of the Order of the Arrow to conduct service at our camp, share in fellowship, and learn more about what it is to be an Arrowman. It is an opportunity for Arrowmen to gather together and celebrate the past year in the lodge, learn more about how you can serve Scouting and the Order of the Arrow, have some fun, and elect new Lodge and Chapter Officers for next year. Early Bird Member Fellowship Weekend Fee is $20 ($30 after August 27th). Location : Camp Big Timber, 37W955 Big Timber Rd, Elgin, IL.
For newly elected Ordeal Candidates: This is the last opportunity to complete your ordeal and join our Lodge. Please read the Ordeal Candidate Letter and Ordeal Candidate Equipment List for important information related to joining our Lodge. You must also download, complete and bring the following Forms with you to this event. Form links are listed under Attachments. Cost is $60 ($70 after August 27th) and includes the Fellowship Weekend fee, your OA Ordeal sash, patch, OA handbook and your 2017 Lodge Dues)
2017 CUB SCOUT SCHOOL NIGHT FOR SCOUTING OVERVIEW - Plan a registration event at every Elementary School one night: Thursday, September 14, 2017.
•Connect recruitment to incentive to exciting program: Recruitment is supported with an incentive item (rocket) and a program element (den, pack, and council events for all Cubs)
•Provide leadership to cover your local elementary school on September 14th to join Scouting!”
•Utilize an on-line BSA application for those families that cannot attend on the 14th
•Expanded flyer/promotion of Scouting
STEM-O-Rama is an event open to everyone ages 6 and up interested in STEM – science, technology, engineering and math. STEM-O-Rama will provide 100s of demonstrations and exhibits designed to show science in a fun, outdoor and engaging environment. We have already booked interactive displays, games & crafts. You’ll be able to fly a drone/quad copter, climb a climbing wall, play in a Ga Ga pits and participate in shooting & outdoor sports. There will be special activities for older youth, ages 14 to 20, with .22 caliber pistol and shotgun shooting (offsite). We will have seven zones of STEM Fun: Shooting Sports Zone, Sports Zone, Manufacturing Zone, Training Zone, Environmental Zone, Abilities Awareness Zone and Adventure Zone. This event offers something for everyone, young and old alike.
The main events and exhibits will take place at Saturday, September 30 at the Sandwich Fairgrounds in Sandwich, IL. The Saturday night Arena Show will feature a spectacular fireworks display and entertainment. All registered youth will be entered to win one of five drones/quad-copters. The drawing will be held during the Arena Show. You need not be present to win.

What is Wood Badge?
Wood Badge is the premier adult training program of the Boy Scouts of America. It teaches contemporary leadership and team development skills in an outdoor setting. Its purpose is to aid Scouters in providing a quality program that will enable Scouts to grow to their greatest potential. The course encompasses key concepts of management skills, from leaders in the management field; therefore, this course can be helpful not only in your Scouting job, but also in your career, personal and religious life.
Congratulations to the Adults who were honored at the TBird Adult Appreciation Dinner on May 12, 2017. The dinner was held at the Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873 in Naperville. Buffet was by Walker’s Charhouse / Owner Bryan Werschulz, Troop 107 Alumni. Plants were donated by the Morton Arboretum. The Keynote speaker was Joseph Broda, our former Mayor of Lisle.
