MEMBERSHIP NEWS:

WEBELOS TRANSITION: Late winter & Spring are usually when second year Webelos Scouts cross over to Boy Scouts. Cubmasters, to help with the transition be sure to invite the Scoutmasters from each of the troops your boys have decided to join, and ideally include them in the ceremony.

If any of your boys have not yet chosen a troop, please work with them and their parents to ensure a smooth transition to Boy Scouts, and the benefits that come from participation in the program.

SPRING ROUNDUPS: Thank you to all who held Spring Roundups. We especially appreciate your diligence in following up with interested parents and reporting the results.

Roundup Applications: It is important that we get completed Applications turned in promptly, to make sure the boys who are interested really become members of your Pack, and so that we can measure the effectiveness of the campaign. For your convenience, applications can be turned it at Roundtable next week (Thursday 13th), or contact Pauline Paulus to arrange a time convenient to you for us to turn them in for you.

FALL ROUNDUPS: The Three Fires Council is holding its first Cub Fall Campout for those boys and a parent new to Scouting in 2010. It is being held in each District on September 24 & 25. Our District (Thunderbird) is teaming up with nearby Indian Prairie District to hold it at Von Oven.

While summer has only started, the September 24 & 25 Fall Campout for new Cub Scouts will be here before we know it. Outdoor camping is one of the big reasons boys want to be Scouts. Please be sure to schedule your Fall Roundup at least one week prior to September 24, so new Scouts will have time to make plans to attend the Campout.
If you have any questions on this new program contact Pauline Paulus at peg0554@gmail.com .

FALL TIGER & CUB CAMPOUT: The first Cub Fall Campout for those boys & a parent new to Scouting in 2010 will be Sept. 24 & 25 at Von Oven. It will start Friday evening & end late Saturday morning. There will be snacks and campfire activities Friday evening, breakfast, games and activities for everyone Saturday morning. The Cost will be $9.00 per person. Watch for further information and how to register etc in upcoming newsletters, and at future Roundtables.

BOY TALKS:
Our District Executive Rob Siebert requests your assistance scheduling "Boy Talks". This is an effective way to get boys and their parents to come to your Round-Up meetings. You can contact Rob at rsiebert@bsamail.org .
