Thunderbird District - Three Fires Council

The 2010 Klondike Derby was held on the February 6th weekend a Camp Big Timber in Elgin. A light coating of snow & temperatures in the 20s helped make this a true Klondike experience.

Webelos, parents, & leaders from Thunderbird District participated in the annual Webelos Overnight which was held at the Thunderbird Youth Campgrounds in June, 2009. The Webelos Scouts had the opportunity to work on many of their Webelos Activity Pins with help from Scouts from many of our Thunderbird Troops during this event.

The 2009 Thunderbird District Dinner was held at the Lisle Hilton on April 24, 2009. Three District Award of Merit Recipients, 3 Spark Plug Recipients & a Silver Acorn Recipient from each unit were honored at this dinner.

The businesses and Mayors of Lisle, Naperville, & Woodridge joined together for the annual Mayors' Community Leadership Fundraising Breakfast in support of Scouting. This year the breakfast was held on April 15, 2009 at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle.
